The PHMSA Portal will be a "One Stop Shop" where industry, modal, state and other business partners can access PHMSA services in support of its mission to protect the American public and the environment by ensuring the safe and secure movement of hazardous materials to industry and consumers by all transportation modes, including the nation's pipelines.

The PHMSA Portal allows for the collecting, compiling and analysis of pipeline data to aid in decision making associated with regulation revisions, compliance, and training. This includes accident/safety-related condition reports submitted by pipeline operators as well as annual reports which include information on miles and types of pipelines.


The new PHMSA Pipeline Reporting subsystem allows users to submit and track the following reports for 2010 and forward through the Internet from any computer with access to the web.

  • Pipeline Annual Gas Distribution
  • Mechanical Fitting Failure
  • Annual Gas Transmission (GT) - Coming 4/28/2011
  • Annual Liquefied Natural Gas(LNG) - Coming 4/28/2011
  • Hazardous Liquid (HL) - Coming 5/23/2011
  • Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Incident - Coming 5/23/2011
